FAQs
Where does Hall Swim Academy conduct swim lessons?
We conduct year-round swim lessons at our location in north Mar Vista, or one of our instructors will come to your location. We also conduct swim lessons at our Beverly Hills and North Hollywood locations from April through October.
What classes do you offer?
We offer Parent/Child, Learn-to-Swim, Adult, and Technique classes.
What ages do you teach?
We teach swimmers from the age of 4 months old through adulthood.
Do you offer private, one-on-one lessons?
All lessons at our locations are private, one-on-one lessons or shared lessons, two swimmers who register together. We also offer Parent/Child classes for groups who register together (up to 3 swimmers per class). For at-home lessons, we allow as many swimmers in each lesson as long as there is enough room in the pool for each swimmer to swim comfortably.
How many classes do you recommend?
It depends on the goals and expectations of the swimmer or parent. Generally, we recommend once a week. If the swimmer has a competition, lifeguard tryout, vacation, etc., it may be recommended to increase the number of lessons per week.
How do I register?
Once we receive the completed registration form, a member of our team will be in contact to schedule the day and time for the swim lessons, and we will enroll the swimmer in the class. Submit the registration form found at the following link: Click Here The credit card will not be charged until we have enrolled the swimmer in a class.
How does the enrollment work?
It is perpetual enrollment, meaning the swimmer will have the same day and time for the class each week. It is required that we are given at least 1 week notice to drop the class which gives us time to contact the next swimmer on the waitlist.
What if we need to miss a class?
Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up lessons during our busy season which is June 1st through September 30th. During our off-season, each swimmer is eligible for 1 make-up lesson per month. Contact a member of our team to schedule the make up class. Cancellations can be made through email or the Parent Portal. 24 hours is required for cancellations, or the lesson is not eligible for a make-up lesson.
What if my child wakes up sick the day of a lesson?
Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up lessons during our busy season (June 1st through September 30th), and we have a 24 hour cancellation/reschedule policy during the off-season.
